good source of vitamin D

I take these primarily for the Vitamin D and immune system booster. This contains an effective dose of Vitamin D, especially during the winter months. During the summer my doctor recommends 1000 IU of D, but during the winter, she recommends 2000. Also, an extra immune boost during the winter seems like a good idea.

Preventive measure

From Ry: I take Epicor as a preventive measure, and this Source Naturals brand because it includes 2,000 IU of D3 for 38% less price. One reads about research that blames uncontrolled inflammation in the large intestine for colon cancer, colitis, et cetera, and the need to curb immune system action that causes harmful inflammation. Some research says inflammation behind diabetes and arthritis. Most products tout the boosting of the immune system, so Epicor seems a sensible addition for body balance. Moderation in all things says Ben Franklin.
