This product is enteric coated. This is a really tough coating to keep the product from dissolving in the stomach. This is important because enzymes are destroyed by stomach acids. I have been using serrapeptase for over a year. It has helped to remove some abnormal tissue. There are no adverse side affects from this product.

D-Fraction has cancer fighting properties. Another great cancer product is AHCC which is derived from shiitake mushrooms. I am not sure, but the compounds seem to be similar. D-Fraction is less expensive. It is recommended in "Beating Cancer with Nutrition" by Patrick Quillin. There are no adverse side affects from this product.

In the book "Alternatives in Cancer Therapy" the author, Ross Pelton stated that Cartilade was the only brand of shark cartilage that he would recommend. If you are going to use shark cartilage then please get a copy of the book. He strongly advises that the powder be mixed with liquid and inserted rectally. Most of the active ingrediant is destroyed by stomach acids. I strongly recommend two other books as well, "Outsmart Your Cancer" by Tanya Harter Pierce, and "Beating Cancer with Nutrition" by Patrick Quillin. I strongly recommend Maitake D-fraction, or AHCC. Flor*Essence is another excellent alternative therapy. These treatments have no ill effects and they help kill the cancer. Please read those books. You need to avoid sugar and make other dietary changes. You will also need to elevate your pH, magnesium is the most effective for this.

I thought this product might slow my baldness. I don't think it did, but my hair skin and nails were so much better that I have kept using it for more than five years. I take one softgell twice a day.
