On Target Magnesium Plus is a formulation designed by Life Extension scientists Durk Pearson & Sandy Shaw containing magnesium and ascorbyl palmitate (fat-soluble vitamin C). Magnesium is an essential mineral which has been found to be commonly deficient in the average American diet. Furthermore, many forms of supplemental magnesium are not readily absorbed by the gut (they are not bioavailable). Magnesium Aspartate has been found to be a highly bioavailable form of magnesium.

Adequate magnesium intake is necessary for proper functioning of the cardiovascular system.
