Senna is native to tropical Africa and cultivated in Egypt, the Sudan and elsewhere. People in northern Africa and southwestern Asia have used senna to support healthy bowel function for centuries.

Botanical name: Cassia angustifolia Vahl , Senna alexandrina Mill. , Cassia angustifolia Vahl.

To use as a tea, pour 1 cup boiling water over 1/2 tsp of herb, cover and steep 3-5 minutes.

Do not use this product if you have abdominal pain or diarrhea. Consult a health care provider prior to use if you are pregnant or nursing a baby. Discontinue use in the event of diarrhea or watery stools. Do not exceed recommended dose. Not for long-term use.
